Operation Homeward Bound! We have
decided not to list Rescues as in the past. What we would suggest you do is RESEARCH any Rescue you find and make sure they
are credible. Unfortuantely, many are not. Search the internet for help and REALLY do the RESEARCH!! We may be able to help
you with a specific area if you would like to contact us. As
everyone knows our beloved Founder, Jennie was a Rescue. Our Organization believes in helping every Pet who needs help finding
a forever home. Jennie and Jan shared 11 1/2 years together and Jennie's Legacy will continue through generations. It
is with great pride 'Operation Homeward Bound' is introduced in Jennie's honor. Pets Needing Forever Homes
Cody
![]() Cody is 10 yrs old and was adopted a few years ago. Due to finances and a divorce she was abandoned at the Town and Country boarding facility. She is a wonderful dog and is housetrained. She does well with cats and some dogs. Living with a high energy dog would be too much for her. She has a mild neurological problem in her back leg due to spinal canal narrowing; however, she currently walks very well. She also has separation anxiety. Town and Country Humane Society will provide a suitable kennel that will work well for her. They will also cover veterinary care, heartworm preventative and frontline. Cody deserves to live out the rest of her life in a loving home. If anyone is interested in taking care of our girl, please contact me. Maggie magcolwell@hotmail.com or mcolwell@alegent.org Babs (Currently in Omaha)
She's an All American Cairn Terrier & Poodle. She is a great dog, she just likes to run, loves to hang out on your lap and she is use to having other dogs around. If you are interested in providing a forever home please contact Aaron Eames, 402-455-2314, aaronandrenee@gmail.com. Lion (Currently in Iowa)
He's a 4-yr-old Boxer/American Bulldog mix (certified by NHS), neutered, up to date on shots and micro-chipped. He's 90 lbs of muscle and sweetness. He's a ham who loves to play and give face nibbles. Lion knows the basic commands and is happy and quick to perform them. He walks well on a leash. Because of his size, he can be a handful. An experienced bull breed owner is a must. Lion was gotten for a teenage son, and as the boy grew and started college, he’s had no time for his dog. At that point Lion was pretty much neglected and didn't receive the socialization that he needed. The parents gave him up to our rescue in hopes of a better life. Since he's come into rescue, he worked with a professional dog trainer for several weeks. Lion is in the process of being house trained. He is currently in a foster rescue home until a “forever” home is found. He is transitioning from living full time outdoors to being comfortable indoors as well. Lion is a quick learner and eager to please. Lion is best suited to a caregiver with no children (or children under 12). It would be best if Lion were an only dog. He has not yet been tested around cats. An adoption application, meet and greet, and home visit will apply, as well as follow up for a short time after his placement in order to assure a successful transition. Once adopted, he must be considered a family or companion dog. His adoption fee: $125.00. Lion is currently being fostered in Mills County Iowa, but applications from all areas will be considered. Please Call Sarah May (402) 933-5516 or stcmay@hotmail.com. P-Nut & Brandi
![]() Two purebred half breeds, half Chihuahua and half Chinese Crested Hairless. They are 8 months old and the boy, P-Nut, is 8 pounds and the girl, Brandi, is 10 pounds. So funny looking they're cute. Incredibly loving calm and cuddly. They want to be held, are not yippee, are a bonded pair, love their crate and are housebroken. They are fixed & vaccinated. They can be adopted immediately. If interested contact: Sheri-lyn Shepler 727-215-9573. Mira
I'd
like to introduce you to Mira. She is a wonderfully sweet 8-9 year old yellow female. House trained, wonderful with all kinds of animals both canine and feline.
Although she's working
on losing a little weight, she is a pleasure to be around and is definitely a yellow shadow, where you go, Mira will go. She'll be your best friend, boating buddy, walking partner.
Don't let that age fool you one bit! Would be a great senior for senior dog ........................ Princess
Penelope
Looking for a home for these two cute little girls. This past weekend they
showed up at our property in Live Oak, of course we drove around asking neighbors if they belonged to anyone and all declined.
I'm pretty sure they belonged to a guy down the road from us, for the past year he has had 5-10 dogs in his yard
tied up or in makeshift pens and Sunday when we left there wasn't a dog in his yard to be seen. Anyway, Scott and
I couldn't stand the thought of leaving them there to fend on their own, it's a very rural area with bobcats and coyotes
so we brought them back to Tampa with us in hopes of finding them wonderful homes.
I bought them cute little collars then took them Wednesday to our local low cost spay/neuter clinic and they got the full
spa treatment: Spayed, all vaccinations, microchipped, nail trim, heart worm tested, flea treatments and a six
month supply of heart worm preventative. Princess tested positive for heart worms so she will be staying with us a little
longer while she goes through treatment for them. Penelope seems to be a Border Collie mix and weighs 34 lbs, can't
see it in the photos but she has a really cute curly-q tail. Princess weighs 24 lbs but could probably use a couple
more, she's a Heinz 57 with a cropped tail. They are very sweet, have been keeping them crated during the day while
we are at work and have had no accidents. They get along great with Guinness, our Mini-Pin and the cats but still need
a little work walking with a collar and leash on. If you, or anyone you might know, that would
be interested in adopting one or both of these two cuties, please contact me as soon as possible. Bess
(813)781-8041 cell Notice: There are so many pets looking for forever homes that it is hard to keep up with who has found a home and who
has not. Once a posting is made, it will stay on the web site for about one month, and then be removed to allow focus
on newer adoptees. If you are able to place a pet, please let us know because that is GREAT news. If you want to keep
a pet listed longer, please let us know by clicking here to send an e-mail.
